Taker Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Taker application, website at jointaker.com, and related services (together, "Taker"). Taker is operated by Tikketi Technology Services ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission. You can contact us at takersupport@gmail.com.

By creating an account or using Taker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Taker.

1. Who can use Taker

Taker is available to users in multiple countries. You must be at least 18 years old to use Taker. By using Taker you confirm that you meet this age requirement, that you are able to enter into a binding agreement, and that your use of Taker is lawful in your country. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you where you live.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 11).

3. Taker Credits

Taker Credits are an in-app feature that lets you access certain paid features inside Taker. Please read this section carefully.

a. What Taker Credits are. Taker Credits are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access digital features and content within Taker. For display convenience, one (1) Taker Credit is shown as equivalent to one Naira (₦1). Taker Credits are not money, legal tender, electronic money, a deposit, a bank balance, or property of any kind, and they have no monetary value outside Taker.

b. Buying Taker Credits. You can add Taker Credits to your account by making a payment through our third-party payment processor (Paystack). When you pay, you are purchasing a licence to use Taker Credits inside the app, you are not depositing money that you can later reclaim as cash.

c. Closed-loop and non-transferable. Taker Credits can only be used by you, inside Taker, to access in-app features. You cannot send, gift, or transfer Taker Credits or any balance to another user or any third party.

d. No cash-out / no withdrawal. Taker Credits cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, exchanged, or converted into cash, bank transfers, or any real-world value. There is no mechanism to take money out of Taker.

e. In-app use only. Taker Credits can only be spent on digital features inside Taker (for example, unlocking AI characters or buying additional AI chats). Taker Credits cannot be used to buy airtime, data, bill payments, or any goods or services with real-world value.

f. No refunds. Except where a refund is required by applicable law, purchases of Taker Credits and spending of Taker Credits are final and non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or compensation for unused Taker Credits.

g. Forfeiture. If your account is closed, suspended, or terminated (by you or by us), any unused Taker Credits may be forfeited and you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation, except to the extent applicable Nigerian law requires otherwise.

h. Changes. We may change the features that Taker Credits unlock, their prices, and how Taker Credits work, at any time. We may also set limits on how many Taker Credits an account can hold.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment processor, subject to their own terms and privacy policy. We do not collect or store your full card details. You are responsible for any fees your bank or card issuer may charge.

5. Your content

Taker lets you create and share content, posts, carousels, Trials, Stories, voice in Lives rooms, messages, and more ("Your Content").

a. Ownership. You keep ownership of Your Content.

b. Licence to us. By posting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving Taker. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for content others have already shared or copies kept for legal or backup purposes.

c. Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to post it. Do not post anything that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or breaks Section 8.

d. Copyright and intellectual property of others. You must not post, upload, or share content that you do not own or do not have permission to use. This includes music, images, video, text, or any other material protected by copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights belonging to someone else. By posting Your Content, you confirm that you either own it or have all necessary rights and permissions to share it on Taker.

e. Reporting infringement (notice and takedown). If you believe content on Taker infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us at takersupport@gmail.com with: (1) a description of the work you say has been infringed; (2) where the infringing content appears on Taker (for example, a link or username); (3) your contact details; and (4) a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, the rights owner, or the law. We will review valid reports and may remove the content. We may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' intellectual property rights.

6. Trials, Stories, Lives and social features

Trials let the community share opinions on questions you post. Stories are short-lived posts. Lives are live voice rooms.

When you join or host a Lives room, your voice may be recorded and shared with others in the room and stored by us to deliver the feature. Do not say anything in a Lives room that you would not want recorded or heard by others. Hosts have moderation powers, including bringing speakers down to listeners and removing participants from their room.

You participate in community features at your own risk. Other users' posts, opinions, and statements are theirs, not ours.

7. AI characters and The Goat

Taker includes AI-powered characters, including fictional comedic personalities and a mascot character called The Goat.

a. Entertainment, not advice. The AI characters are for entertainment. Nothing they say is professional, financial, legal, medical, or any other kind of advice, and you should not rely on it. The fictional characters (such as comedic "ex", "pastor", or "police" personalities) are works of fiction for humour and are not real people or real institutions.

b. AI limitations. AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, including any prices, facts, or web-search results provided by The Goat. Always verify important information yourself.

c. No money handling. The AI characters do not move money, hold balances, or carry out transactions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

9. Moderation and reporting

We may review, moderate, remove, or restrict content and accounts that we reasonably believe break these Terms, but we are not obligated to monitor all content. You can report content or users to us at takersupport@gmail.com.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Taker, with or without notice, if you break these Terms or if we reasonably need to (for example, for legal, security, or safety reasons). You may stop using Taker and close your account at any time. As stated in Section 3, unused Taker Credits may be forfeited on termination, subject to applicable law.

11. Intellectual property

Taker, its name, logo, mascot (The Goat), design, software, and content (other than Your Content) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not use them without our permission.

12. Third-party services

Taker relies on third-party services (including Paystack for payments, and infrastructure and communication providers). We are not responsible for those services' own acts, terms, or failures.

13. Disclaimers

Taker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee that Taker will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that content (including AI output) will be accurate.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Taker. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from Your Content, your use of Taker, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Taker after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

Taker is operated from Nigeria. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, regardless of where you access Taker from, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of its courts, unless the parties agree otherwise or unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you additional rights.
